I’m forever grateful to my friend Tom Bews for helping me “get it right”. From such things as the stance and gait of the horse in a particular circumstance to the way a cowboy, well, kind of oozes cowboy! They say that Tom Bews has forgotten more than other people know about western horses and their riders – and that he shares that knowledge freely. If Bews plays a apart in helping me capture the essence of my scenes, we should all be grateful. The painting was a gift and hangs at the Bews ranch house in Longview.
